    Pitstopboss News Update - 04th July 2009

With today's update I've made a few alterations to the bidding chain-saga and added some cups that should prove popular, but alas something's gotta give...
Read on to find out more.

    • Added Free credit offers. Now you don't need to buy or even vote for credits! Many offers available, so step right up, no pushing or shoving - there's enough for everyone!
    • It had to happen!... On the flipside, I've had to remove a bunch of the vote sites as they just were not providing any return for us. However between the free credit offers, the purchase credits options and the sponsor objectives, balance should be restored.
    • Made a change to the handling of transfer system, so if you buy an item, if you had any outstanding bids on your old item, it would be automatically sold to the highest bidder - thus you won't lose out (needs some testing, so use with caution initially)
    • Update the help so it automatically opens in you language version
    • Added a difficulty rating to each competition. (this is based on the amount of sliders you need to adjust)
    • You can now view more information about your opponents in the competition entries pages.
    • Added some more requested cups and adjusted a few less popular ones.
    • For the insane, you can reset your whole account and start again now.
    • NOTE: some cups do not appear if they are oversubscribed (eg. more than 8 versions of that cup are active - they will reappear once the current ones finish) NO CUPS HAVE BEEN REMOVED

For credit purchasers, the Daopay option is proving a bit unreliable at the moment with issueing automatic credits, so it is probably best to use an alternative until it is fixed.

    hey boss.
I doubt if the new credit offers are safe to use. It asks for all sort of info., which i dont mind giving out but credit card details and accepting text messages looks like a recipe to let someone rip us off.
So, for us folks who think it unsafe, maybe we can have all the vote sites back to get enough credits to keep going.

Yeah sure, very balancing... You have to pay to get free credits... haha... and of course not everyone have credit cards or have money.
For me votes are only credits I can have and now its 2k lower.
I think its time to consider my retirement.

Free credit offers are a joke... If I don't want to buy credits, despite the generously low prices, than I'm not going to give my money and personal information to some third party site. Even if I wanted to use either option I couldn't, as I don't have the right credit card.

The only option that is (at this time) really free, requires you to download some software and gives you a hilariously low amount of credits as a reward.

What's more, now that a lot of the voting sites are missing, there's no way to get the site no. 43 to work, so you lose a few additional credits on top of it all.

I agree with what the people above are saying. While there is nothing wrong with the free credit offers for the people that have no problem with giving their personal info and paying some money through mobile phone costs etc. But for the people like myself its not an option.

I understand if you remove certain vote sites that werent giving you the return you wanted, but please keep them on the site to make people able to continue playing. They gave me the return I wanted, and now it is gone.

Maybe redistribute the credits you used to receive per vote among the remaning vote sites and reintroducing vote# 42 so we can do vote #43 as well.

That way you would get rid of the votes you want, and we keep the free credits we need.

    Greetz,

You dont have to sign up for credit cards if you don't want to.
There are plenty of offers that just require email addresses or surveys to be filled out.

So, it is really up to you want you want to do there - there are hundreds of offers.

You can always pay for some credits instead. They are quite affordable and do help us to pay for development and the server costs too.

A completely free game never lasts long unless someone puts in some money at some point. There are many choices now for getting credits, you can choose which you prefer.

If you dont want to pay for credits and dont want to do any credit offers, then you may have to consider reducing the size of your team. Most of the vote sites don't bring any
bring in new players, so had to go.

The way things are now is quite fair in my opinion.

I would advise you not to sign up for offers that requre credit card details or downloads if you don't want those offers or think they may be unsafe.

It is a bit confusing why that etoro offer repeats itself over no less than 5 pages of offers. I think the majority of us never went beyond the first page of offers.

However I don't see any such offer that require email and survey fill. Most of them require that you give credit card details and/or deposit tens of dollars... Are the offers filtered by country or smth?

Also, about the paid credits, I saw there were issues with the SMS paying option and I would honestly encourage its fixing. From my experience with online games of this nature, the SMS option is by far the most used method. That's because a large number of players do not (or do not intend to) use paypal or any other form of internet payment (for various reasons) and/or a considerable amount of players are at an age that doesn't allow them to own or use a bank account or online payment method. On the other hand I see mobile phones hanging even at the necks of 5 year olds so definitely SMS will be the most used method.

I guess it depends what country your in.
In the UK, there are quite a few - click on the 'free' tab to find free offers.

The SMS people say that you have to stay on the page until it forwards you back to the game and people aren't doing that, so they dont get credited
(seems an odd way for them to do it, so I'm trying to find a simpler solution)

You can always contact us if you dont get automatically credited from the SMS.
