Pitstopboss News Update - 28th June 2009
Well, this one is definitely a biggie from my point of view and as such may need quite a bit of testing. So without further ado, I will explain.
- Fixed a bug with the transfers bidding, where by it was possible to bid and get several of the same type of item (eg. bid on 3 Engines and get them all) thus wasting credits. If you have been a victim of this bug, please report for a refund.
- Slight reduction in the cost of contract renewals
- Adjusted the price of Drivers to take into account their track experience (as track experience does give drivers more speed at the circuit)
- Added a 'Help' room so that marshals can deal with questions better, rather than questions from players being lost in the multitude of other messages.
- If you have a pitcrew, you can now see your driver's favourite tracks and also the tracks that favour your tyres.
- There is no more obligation to vote past level 1 to progress. Those that do not wish to vote anymore can purchase credits from next week.
- Placed the help link on more pages. We have a new faster help wiki guide, that we are almost finished making.
- If you have The Stig on, you cannot do runs and alter setups. You will have to turn him off first.
- Bridgestone + Michelin cups are now 14-sliders as these should be more advanced.
- Due to credit balancing, some competitions have had the price structure changed and payouts reduced (only competitions that paid out 30,000cr as top prize) and some competions now give out prizes, such as the Newbie Cup.
- Removed Track History from the team history pages, as it was not needed/working.
- Added Sponsors into the game.
- Added Driver Objectives into the game. Each driver will have a few objectives that they want to complete in their career. Complete them to get a credit kickback.
- Added a system to start competitions after a few days if there are at least 14 drivers entered
- Fixed a bug whereby it says you need to pay to use turbo mode if you have low credits.
- Adjusted bids so that if you sell an item,it has to go through the bidding process (stops any possible exploits and also tries to get a better price for your items) also the BUY NOW items are slightly increased.
- The barrier to entry of becoming a Factory Dealership has now been dropped to 50,000cr and the commision is also dropped to 5% per sale in line with this. (if you had a factory pre-update, get in touch and we may give a part-rebate)
Well, thats it for now! I'm sure there will be many reports and questions.
Please use the report a bug buttons in the game
