My first Need for Speed SHIFT mod

Thanks to some very bright minds, there is a decoder/encoder for the *.bff Files available. So I tried some simple tweaks to the AI-aggression and the overall grip level in the PRO mode of the game.

First mod reduce the AI aggression level by 55%, to enable much cleaner driving and less destruction derby in the races.
The second one does the same to the AI aggression and reduce the overall grip level from 1.2 to 1 (normal) too. So the cars are less tame in traction and IMHO more fun.

    Installation:
Backup the original "PHYSICSBOOTFLOW.bff" in the "Pakfiles" folder of your NFS-SHIFT installation and replace it by one from the attached archives you like.

    Download:

Click the download button to get the full updated pack of modifications!

Cool! With proper modding this game can only get better! I wonder whether this could create problems online?

Also I hope the tracks can be edited like in rF where you could remove object from the scene files (like the silly windmill in the Essington track...:rabbit:

Can you share a link to the unpacker/packer btw...?

I downloaded the aggression zip, but I get an error when I want to unzip it...? (Using Winrar.)

    EDIT:
Just tried the other zip and it gives an error too...

No problems here, using both powerarchiver and winrar...maybe re-downloading it might help

Have no problems with download and unpacking using 7zip or windows explorer zip.

I downloaded the file WITHOUT using FDM (Free Download Manager) and now it's okay... Weird.

But they didn't make possible to use all the files in the game, the 3D files are still closed, you can change only some files like the physics ones or texture.
But, it's a very good beginning of course :) !

by lowering grip, does that make the handling harder or easier, I assume harder?
