This is a single lap on the game Project CARS using the Sauber Mercedes C9 at the Le Mans track.

The track on this video is the version being raced since 1990 containing 2 chicanes at the Mulsanne Straight, in order to hold the unbelievable speeds reached in the 70's and 80's, an order of nearly 400 km/h.

With the famous Mulsanne without any chicanes this car could reach around 248 mph (399 km/h) during the qualifying sessions of the 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The pole lap at that year was held by this same car with an astonishing time of 3"15.040, again racing with no chicanes at the Mulsanne Straight. For comparison purposes the pole lap time from the 2014 24 hours of Le Mans having the Mulsanne Straight containing 2 chicanes was 3"21.789 in the 3rd Qualifying session, by the Toyota Racing team.

This was a raw practice session with no assists and slightly modified setup. Surely this time can drop quite a bit using time trial mode and better setup.
