The most spectacular driver I have ever seen in real life in the 500cc class. Yes kids there was awesome two stroke life before MotoGP :D

Kids today think they were the ones who developed sliding both ends of the bike.I wish someone had the video of Freddie Spencer at Assen leaned over, leaving skid marks with BOTH wheels.

Freddie could have been the most successful driver in history if he didn't have so many weird injuries during his career.

I can still clearly remember his world champion titles in both the 500cc and 250cc class in 1985 (same year as the vid above). And if he would have joined the 125cc and 80cc that year he certainly have won all classes.

Lawson, Mamola, Gardner et al were all big racing talents but Fast Freddie was exceptional.

Yeah, I met him through work. I asked him about that year. He's a pretty nice guy. He invited me to look at his 250cc Championship bike, but I didn't make time. I'm such an idiot.
