Assetto Corsa / BTCC BMW 125i / Silverstone National

Jason Palmer
At last some we have some modern day BTCC for Assetto Corsa in the form of a new mod by the guys over at Triple 7 Racing.

This v1.0 of their mod contains 4 BTCC cars,

Ford Focus ST
Honda Civic
Toyota Avensis
BMW 125i M Sport

After having a few fun and games with the Ford and its lively rear end, although this topic contains help on a more stable setup for this car - http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/btcc-mod-4-cars.124110/#post-2277160 - which i will try for a later video, i opted to pick the rear wheel drive BMW 125i.

Now this car feels amazing and i felt at home very quick with just a tweak to the setup and was soon throwing it around the track. the FFB is very strong with these cars and i did have to lower my overall FFB settings other wise my battle with my Fanatec CSW v2 got the better of me ! I certainly knew when i was running over the curbs i can tell you but it felt great and i thought it added to the frantic nature of BTCC racing.

I used a Kunos track in the form of Silverstone National circuit as this is used on the real BTCC calendar and i run a grid of 16 cars without any noticeable problems.

Even though i just did a quick race the AI cars put a good hard but fair challenge for the 6 laps race and i enjoyed making my way through the grid after starting 11th.

I am very impressed with this v10. of this new BTCC mod and i know the creators are already listening to user feedback for future versions which can only be a good thing.
