Thread: GTL Lobby Fix

Hmmm, I'm wondering if it's a proper fix similar to Ramon's, or whether it's getting on using the anti deco patch.

For some unknown reason, my profile got rubbed out the other day (no idea why), and while I think I know what the username and password were/are, I'm not 100%, and not being able to get onto any servers, I can't check anything. It's going to be one of 2 possible users & passwords, but neither appears to be working very well, unless getting "cannot connect to server" means my user/pass is OK, but then the other problems kick in...

If I need to re-register, I'm stuffed until something comes back up properly.

Using the anti-deco, I cannot add the ip of the RD server in at all - I still get no servers come up, so mybe the ip I'm using is wrong, but I don't know any others that are running GTL games.

I remember that it does has to do with the antideco patch!
There was sth. with using an autoupdater (which I think was a program built by the guys at the altbierbude ) and "refresh" and not pay any attention to what comes up, but rather to wait until the password or serial (can't remember) are verified (which could take some time according to them!)!

I will post a help request now and hope they are willing to help out and have a solution for us as well! (sorry I cannot do more right now, but college is closing in on me badly!)

Stuart, has the RD server been setup for an event?
If so, maybe a few of us can try to connect to it using the anti-deco patch to test if it is working ok.

It now looks like the anti-deco patch actually works for me, but only on other peoples servers.

I procured some ip addresses from replies to this topic (which as you can imagine has been quite widely discussed) on other boards, and they work fine.

So, either:-

1. The ip address that I use to connect to the server to set up games in the first place is not the same as the one we need to use for anti-deco games

- OR -

2. The ip address is right, but something on our server setup is preventing direct connection to the events.

Either one should hopefully be a fairly quick resolution.

If you can open your plr file, you can find your username and password in it.

Basically, I've sent a note to Bram & Ramon asking about the server set up, so I'd imagine once they get hold of it, we'll be back in business via the anti-deco even if the lobby stays down.

Stuart couldn't you have the wrong ip address? as it got changed last month i believe.

That might well be a valid reason...

...apart from me having set up about 20 events on the server since the change took place, of course.
