First ever own setup. Time 1.54.3 q2 on standard engine will be trying option tyres and rich mix. Tried the same setup in time trial with a red bull and was 3 seconds quicker and will properly be quicker with a bit more practice.
Any feedback will be welcome. Also I'm using Xbox 360 controller.
Just finished race after starting 17th (bad q2) finished 7th 12secs off leader best time was 1.57.945

EXCELLENT! This got me a 1:45:889 pretty quickly. I have been slowly making my way through these tracks and making setups, and am glad to not have to do this one. I shall be linking this setup to those who follow me.

| Career and Multiplayer setup! |

Hey guys,
I saw some other setups of you guys, very nice! :)
This one is for the Multiplayer and the race in career of Spa (Dry)
- I play always on Legend. 25% races.

Every single detail can better. But this is not a TT setup. so everyone knows that your tires wear out, so maybe is this really fine for people who are don't know how to make a good setup for multiplayer and career.

Qualifying 3: 1:46.787 (Options)
Race (fastest lap): 1:49.560 (Primes)

THIS IS ONLY FOR CAREER AND FOR MULTIPLAYER.
I Know if your using a TT setup you will just get stuck with the gearbox, which not give you enough top speed without DRS.

I'm still testing, tell me your opinion :)

Kyle I'm missing your setup :p Xiocianos' was good but didn't fit for me :/ Hyperdixs' was faster for me but WTF Bram? Your setup went faster every round - and just not a bit... 5 Rounds and everytime 0.2 seconds faster. All in all I improved the time by about 1.1 secs.

Damn :D 10 Fuel laps, hard tires, engine 2 and only kers (no drs). and I got a 1:55:438. Not bad for me :D (I'm using it in career mode)

//edit
Just did a 1:54:759 with the same settings above in q1.. For q3 I changed to fuel3, fuel for 5 rounds, soft tires and also used drs and got a 1:51:211. 1:50:xxx should be doable because I didn't hit some corners. Confirms the great setup Bram :D

What kind of times do you need to get pole on legend on this track? I'm doing 1:49's in practice with primes and 5 laps of fuel on standard, but practice times never tell the full story.

Easily the best circuit on the Formula 1 calendar.
Dipped my left front onto the grass slightly at the exit of Les Combes, but not enough to effect my overall laptime.

On first season with 2012, had 2010 but not 2011. Struggling at Spa with Marussia so need a set-up. Just can't get the right balance. Think I'll try the Bramster's first as loved his 2010 set-ups. Happy racing! I'll post my results :)

A lot of fun this since I am new to Spa. My middle sector was pretty poor and I reckon half a second is there for the taking and if I could get a perfect braking point into the bus stop that might overall challenge a 1:44 but I can't quite get a perfect lap together.

First time I've went with wings that low and the car felt pretty fine. My fastest lap did have the occasional mid corner wobble but that's my driving more than anything.

I don't think I'll nail Pouhon in my life and on my fastest lap I made an error at Turn 9 (the one before Pouhon). I'm still pleased with the overall time. The setup overall btw is, apart from the wings, what I'd normally go with on TT.

Using Xbox Controller

Feedback would be great

Hey gents,
Just new to all this.
Looking for a little help to improve lap times. Working on Spa right now. Bought the game for PS3 back in October and made the switch to PC last week. Knocked 5 seconds off the lap time with the platform switch to put me at 1:58 (don't laugh!). Dialed in Tom Endres set up (first post of this thread) last night and a bit better (1:56). I am sure that I am losing serious time at my breaking points. I am using the DFGT wheel with no assists. I know that I will never do a sub 1:50, but if I could drop down to 1:51-1:52, I know that I would be in the majority of races come race day.
Had some help from Roberto regarding driving smooth and that helped.
So other than practice, practice, practice, is there anything that you could mention?
PS I will try a couple of other setups in this thread tonight and see if one blends with my driving.

It really is down to practice. I find it best to try and push the car to the limit, brake as late as possible and get on the throttle as soon as possible. The laps start out scruffy and then I try and smooth it out. It might not be the most conventional way but it works for me. I am by no means an elite driver but I do reasonably well over one lap however. That's how I go about getting quick times. But the more you practice, the more you learn about your abilities and your style, then you can work on laptimes. My time and set up above was done in about 15 laps. I haven't raced around Spa in any game in about 8 years but I know the track well enough anyway. It's just about fine tuning the brake, turn and throttle points for me now.
