Hey guys, thought I should show my project here too.
It's my first BTB project and I am working on it since February, with some breaks here and there.
I'm so far only working with BTB, don't own 3DSimED yet and plan to do some custom textures with Photoshop.
The track is semi-fictional, so I could place some details like crowds etc. who wouldn't have enough space in real life.
Features/Details:
- Based off of the real roads up to the Petersberg in Königswinter, Germany.
- Petersberg Grand Hotel (the place where Michael Schumacher married) and guard house recreated with many details by gtr4u.de member renntom with Google SketchUp.
- A 3D camera was placed for every ground-level replay camera.
- Good performance, even with many trackside details.
- Release planned for rFactor and SimBin platforms, maybe Assetto Corsa if the quality is high enough.
To-do list:
- 'Pit-area' details.
- Rallye-timer
- Other track details.
- Beta testing, especially for online functionality.
Stuff that might won't make it but is planned:
- Rain reflections and a wet version for rFactor.
- Completely new mapping.
- Other layouts (no chicanes, reverse etc.)
- Custom road textures.
