    You can try it but i woudn't recommend it. I up until the last week have been using 2 570's, gone back to a single card for various reasons, main one being getting the 680 and fast single cards always just feel better. Even in SLI 8XSupersampling is too much really if you race with a big field like i do, really only at the start of a race you see the pitfall of supersampling and that's with 2 570's. I can get away with alot of AA still on the single card but no way can you run 8xsupersampling and have a smooth experience on a 570 let alone anything lower spec. My single 570 is clocked way way beyond 580 speeds so it does feel good still. Depends really on what you consider playable in terms of FPS. I have to have 60fps consistently to be happy personally.

    Havent had the time to look into it David. It's been 3 weeks since I raced. Is it just fps drop, or do you feel the gfx overall is downgraded?
