Someone on another forum posted this video and I just had to share it. Okay, this is not their current engine as Renault has been using V8s from 2006-2009 (I believe 2006?). The title says it's a V8, and only 8 cylinders are shown in the video, but further inspection show's it's a V10. However, the purpose of this thread is to show the incredible sound of the engine creeping 20,000RPMs. It sounds amazing - wish it was in my soon-to-be daily car :rotfl: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKyP19ky_W0[/ame]
Awesome, awesome... must be such a kick to have your right foot on the throttle and produce such a sound... Also nice (a BRM V16!!): click to listen
Lol, seriously ! That's really nice too, but this Renault engine is just awesome :laugh2: And excuse my double post please.
It might even be if it's a 2008 or 2009 engine that they were hitting 20k or even 21k as they're testing the engine. And to test durability you might also want to know what it does when overrev'ed even tho' that's not possible in races. Might be a 2006 or 2007 engine At the end of 2007 I think engines hit 21k at max. And a BRM H16. Oh man, I can't how many times I've seen the video. That whine of the straight cut gears in that car is beautifully deafening, I love the sound of that. The BRM 16 cylinder sounds great too . And what a unique car.

Nope, your first post was right. It's a V10.. when the whole engine is shown you can count five injections per side... That BRM was AWESOME..
