RD500 2010 (rFactor)

After last years first ever RD500 we are looking in organizing this one day event again for 2010.

Some facts:

• 500km oval race
• End of May 2010
• CART98 as the mod of choice
• Oval circuit to be decided (bring on some good suggestions of legal highspeed rF ovals please)
• 30 licensed members with a RD ranking (minimum of five races at RD)
• Broadcasted live?

So how about it?

Yes, same mod and also no skinpacks again as it is just a single day event

Good one, haven't tested the mod in ages. Are there any speed/performance differences between the cars on high speed ovals?

We all had to pick same car because of the superspeedway advantage one team had. It would be a commentators worst nightmare having all the cars the same.

609kw , 619kw and 625kw

I am up for some of this, I havent raced ovals since the old NR2003, they were the days, 400 laps round Dover

about that diffirence in cars i can remember that in 1998 the reynards where the srongest and that newman haas tried a swift chassis which was a real disaster.
Also the penske cars were off the pace mostly

Yes Bram the cars are Different in power and speed last time it was decided to take the slowest car there is somehwere a other indy mod
wich is legal dont ask me where they use newer cars i thing and they have templates i am not that much into rf and its mods that i can exactly
say wich one it is but i ready about here at RD if i am right cuz i must agree with JJ the comentator will have a bad dream after the race
if all the cars looks the same

There is a 'modern' IndyCar mod but frankly it's not a patch on CART Factor. It sounds awful.

would it be possible to just use the soundfiles of CART Factor ?? in that new indycar mod ?? but probaly not as the the cars from
cartfactor using a low pressure turbo while IRL cars are plain uncharged suckers right ??

ok i skip it last change would be to try and get a shading layer done for one of the ingame skins of Cartfactor so skinning would be
working without looking to cheap

Don´t like the way this is going the best cart mod that is out there is the Cart Factor , handeling of the cars , sound , looks , everything about this mod beats the **** out every other openwheel mod .
just whats on my mind

Well if you look at my first post. Theres a scratchbuilt indycar 2010 being built but it probably wont be out intime.
