Well I'm hoping that doing these pictorials will generate some interest for more people to join us in these races and club. It's a blast!

Great job once again Joe. Really captured the feel of the event in those images. Every corner at Road Atlanta will have a tale to tell after last nights RD get-together, lol.

I think this only bodes well for the MX-5 league starting this coming Sunday @ Laguna Seca.

Hopefully we can 'grasp the nettle' and take it onwards and upwards, as there is a healthy glut of cars and tracks, both oval and road, available from within iRacing, for us to go at.

Daz you are certainly correct, as there are tons of options to choose from later on. Different cars of different tracks, there are ALOT of combos one could come up with.

RDiR Mustang Challenge at Road Atlanta Pictorial 6/5/2011

Well it's been a long while since I have been able to get a pictorial done for RD so I think it's about time! Once again Racedepartment, Will, and Kevin have put another event together for us and even though this race had a smaller field the enjoyment and racing was as good as ever. Todays feature was held at Road Atlanta with the Ford Mustang as the ride of choice.

RDiR Star Mazda Series @ SPA 6/12/2011 race pictorial

This week we find the drivers of the Racedepartment Star Mazda Championship at the famous and demanding Curcuit de SPA Francorchamps. As we put RD, Kevin, and Will in the spotlight to thank them for their efforts in bringing us another wonderful event and the drivers get set to go green.

In the starting line up we have:

And there are off battling for position towards La Source

As the leaders come round La Source Baelen gets into Hubbard and is up on two wheels.

The aftermath of T1 collected multiple cars as a few lucky got through.

Kus makes his way up Eau Rouge for the first of 15 times today.

Brankin with Luneski, Sydenstricker, and Hopkins in line racing to Eau Rouge.

Rolleston pushing for space while Nowell and Marquez fight for position around Les Combes.

Sydenstricker spins coming out of Bruxelles but saves the car to continue the race.

Estes with Brankin, and Luneski in hot pursuit around Pouhon.

Marquez eyeing Nowell for position coming into Blanchimont.

The leaders in the Chicane.

Nowell fighting off Marquez at the top of Eau Rouge.

Marquez takes the position from Nowell in the Kemmel Straight coming into Les Combes.

Hopkins chasing down Luneski into Les Combes.

Brankin pushing hard for breathing room around Les Combes.

Nowell looking to the inside to take back the position from Marquez around Bruxelles.

Marquez goes wide as Nowell takes the position after a tremendous fight.

Rijin having damage loses grip coming around Pouhon and saves the car from sustaining further damage.

Watts in clean air after pitting for damage repair now trying to make up time.

Rolleston loses traction giving Marquez the opportunity to close the gap around La Source.

Rolleston goes wide and off track giving Marquez position out of Stavelot.

Rolleston overshoots the Chicane trying to get back the position lost to Marquez.

Marquez Spins off the curb coming out of Stavelot to give Rolleston back the position.

Estes being tracked down by Brankin in the final lap of the race.

Kus brings home the checkered flag for the win!

On the podium we have:

Kus in 1st
Hubbard in 2nd
Rolleston in 3rd
