Racer Source?

Hey Racercommunity,

We are working on a project that is investigating the rehabilitation of patients after they have suffered a stroke. The patients are driving into a simulation and we are using Racer as racesimulation and we also collect eye- and head position data. We want to see the results if there is more field of view after a training. Ultimately we want to combine all the eye/head data and the racer telemetry data to investigate this. The problem is that we need to synchronize the data and we miss some information from Racer at the moment. So i was wondering if we could get the source or could ask for a few small changes, to get the additional data. It would be nice to catch the telemetry output stream so we can process it real time. It would also be great to have an option to start the logging when we want to. Can i contact Ruud for this?

If you want to learn the rsx scripting language, it can write out to ascii files, and has access to a fair amount of telemetry data in realtime. (doc scripttypes + doc scriptfuncs in the console puts help files in the racer directory)

Shift+F3 does log to a binary file (in racer\data\dump\), but it seems to save after the race finishes.
