  1. Great thanks. I'll give it a go tomorrow and let you know if I get stuck. Do I just put the dds and Lod files in a folder together then? Where do you open up 3d from in photoshop?

  2. Just drag the exported 3ds file into the open photoshop window.

    It should open with a seperate layer for each dds.....body, wheel, generics etc etc.

    Put your dds files into these layers.
  3. Ok I'm giving this ago but might need help. How do I remove the damage layers?
  4. First apply the texture that is left on the main white bits of the model.

    Once done right click on the little white bits left around and anything that shows decal damage in the box that pops up on right clicking edit and delete, this might take a few goes to get at all the damage decal parts.

    Right click on the tyres and delete those too as you will not get the tyres with this model.

    Right click and delete the rear light glow too, this also has two layers, remove them both.

    Once model is finished export it as a 3ds file to a new folder somewhere and also export the textures to the same folder.

    Job done.
  5. Ok so I have the 3d model in 3dsimed opened up. When you say apply textures to the white main parts only, what do you mean? Sorry this program is completely new to me

  6. Right click and a box opens with material body decal, click on that option, new box opens, now click on the tab just under diffuse T1....it may be blank.

    Then scroll until you find the texture for the car.

    Do this for all textures.
  7. So I have found the box and it was blank, so I need to select my dds file right? Then repeat for body, body decal, body decal2side etc etc?

    Should I see anything on the model? It's just white

  8. You can apply whatever texture you want for the car, either the original or the new one you are working on. I would always put the original on it as it's the best one to view the model with (nothing will be out of alingnment).

    Apply to all main white bits apart from the generics parts and wheels, those will neeed the correct textures.

    Once done remove damage decals and export model and textures as previously stated.

    Then you should be able to bring the 3ds file into photoshop.
  9. So I'm guessing it should be a dds file I should be selecting? I just see a yellowish 3d shape no textures.Thanks for the help.....this is tough!
  10. Am I not seeing the textures because I only have the trial version of 3dsimed perhaps? I'm unsure if I should see the 3d model with dds skin showing the textures?

  14. Guys, can someone tell me please, how can I open the 3D helmet from Pit Crew in Photoshop? Like the DaiMoN template.

  15. Havent read the entire thread. Dont have time for that.

    Is Track Editing possible? I mean the 3d.
    I have experience in other sims with CAD programs
    so i though i could ask to know about F1 2011.

    Hi everybody. I started to create own 2012 mod, changed language files, database, replaced Trulli and Petrov... What else to do so that Trulli doesn't wear Lotus(Caterham) suit instead of Renault?
