Logitech Wheels under Windows 8 - Solution

Hello people,

I had upgraded my Win 7 to Win 8 on Saturday and I had big issues with my wheel detection in Logitech Profiler. The profiler (if it started correctly) couldn't detect my wheel. In the Control Panel my wheel was described as Logitech Driving Force GT but I wasn't able to make any changes so I had it locked to 200 degrees and no FFB. The solution I found was pretty easy and I think most of the people here have already done that but I wanted to help those who haven't :)
So first you need to uninstall the Logitech Profiler. Of course you don't need to remove all saved profiles. Then download the latest installation file from Logitech Support. Right click on the exe and set the compatibility mode to run in Windows 7. Then start the installation file as administrator, plug your wheel and you're ready :)

I hope that helped.
