Hungarian Grand Prix 2012: Jenson Button questions McLaren tactics after stop strategy proves costly http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mo...actics-after-stop-strategy-proves-costly.html
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mo...-campaign-alongside-Mexicos-Sergio-Perez.html Seem's Button wanted a number #1 driving role all long, good luck
I don't see any reason for Mercedes to kick neither Hamilton or Rosberg, both of them are fast and consistent. Not to mention that they have put Mercedes 3rd on the constructors championship, 10p behind Ferrari. On the other hand, Button should be watching out for his team mate who seems to be a quick learner and has a lot of potential but unfortunately a bit to eager on the track.
2009..... Brawn ran the team in which JB won his title. And also Brawn is one of the most successful engineer and Formula One team principals in modern history? It is an interesting thought.
That is true but you got to ask yourself, why would Mercedes want to switch any of their 2 drivers for Button? (Actually exclude Hamilton because he has a 2 year contract if I am not mistaken) From Rosbergs current performance I would actually say that Button would perform on the same level if he was driving this years Mercedes so their wouldn't really be some sort of a huge profit for the team to switch Rosberg with Button right now. If Rosberg was to under perform later on the season then surely their is a potential for Button to move to Mercedes but right now Mercedes/Brawn wouldn't make any sort of noticeable profit to recruit Button. Cheers!
And if Rosberg moved? Just thinking that JB will move on from McLaren at the end of 2013, and what options would open up for him. Just past links and history would lead to Mercedes... Stranger things have happened.
Doesn't JB have a contract until at least the end of 2014 anyway? He signed a "multi-year contract" (meaning more than two) in 2011 (check page 4 of this thread). I also think he said that he plans on ending his career with McLaren.
He won't move. He has recently stated, on many ocassions, his desire to stay with McLaren for the rest of his career if possible and Martin Whitmarsh constantly kisses buttons backside.also, hamilton didn't leave mclaren to end up with button at mercedes and I think he would leave if button was to join.
