Bjorn, if you set the compatability mode of the nks.exe to Vista SP2, disable visual themes and desktop composition, it stops crashing. Thanks to Domagoj Lovrić for this info.

I think if you just run the regular nKP Tracks they run better too - I ran a load of races on Monday evening without any issues, and I've had nothing but trouble on the addon tracks.

has the server gone offline again? I clicked to join but got an error "Track not available" so went out, copied Laguna Seca and now there is no server in the list?
