Greetings from Norway.

I've been lurking around RD and iRacing since the start.

My real name is Tore or 2re for short.
License plate in game is usually "2re Turbo" sounds like I'm quick doesn't it.
well not anymore:D

I started simracing with GPL in 1998 I think, or perhaps a year later. I'm an old 44 fart now, slowly going senile
I was very much addicted to simracing up until around 2007
last few years have been on and of, with LFS and RBR mostly.
I'm considering along with 2 friends getting into to the sport again with iRacing.

iRacing physics and league system seams awesome for fair racing.
The sounds, judging from YouTube clips, does not impress all that much.
Still think the original GPL Ferrari engine sound is one of the all time greatest.
For me its Physics - Sound - Graphics that comes first.

I read that there is a racing school coming to iRacing, my friends are new to simracing so we might just wait for that before we join up.

Any "new customer" tip is welcome.

Thanks for the tip Dario.
But I'd like to know why? To much crashing in Rookie league perhaps?
Well in that case I better stay there for a while. I find it hard to stay on track in any game I play.
Been away for too long it seams ;-)

I've loaded up GTR evo to practice braking and lines.
Thought perhaps I should DL some of the iRacing tracks for it. So I wouldn't' be all naked when I start.
Lime Rock is one of them if I'm not mistaken.

Bram: You where quite active in GPL and RSC too right?
