Hmm..strange.. it seems i'm the only one liked this new system here...:D

I think this will increase the heat of the fight for the lead...

Yes but the flip side is what about everyone below 2nd place? what do they have to race for?

Hmm...As you said, they will race for 2nd place. It's their problem. They must be 1st if they want the title. :)

by the way, i agree that this rule is not fair. But i believe this will increase the fun.

This is so Unfair to Drivers who are consistant.

Now for Example of how this rule Fails Epically.

Felipe Massa (2 Wins 4 Seconds 3 Thirds) 130 Points

Lewis Hamilton (3 Wins 2 Seconds 1 Third) 121 Points

Massa Wins Points Wise But doesnt Due to Lewis Winning More Races. So Massa Is More Consistant But Loses due to not winning more Races.

More radical (and not very much possible) case.
Somebody wins 2 races, and not earns points at all others: 20p
On the other 15 race, always a different guy wins.
Somebody finishes all of the races at P2, collects 136 points.
1st driver wins with 2 wins and 20points.
Of course this is only possible mathematically, but hey, it's possible!

I wonder how can FIA convince the teams and drivers for this ???:confused2:

That's why im also against this rule, it doesn't make any sense.....

Being consistent doesn't mean anything now, it will mean that only a few drivers (2 or 3 drivers i think) will have good chances to win the championship and the rest will be driving for just some plain points.
This rule will mean that will will see more action on the track, cause a win is the most important now, but it also will bring back the discussion around teamorders again....

Aham, and he only doesn't win more races because Ferrari explodes, or they give him green light while they're still refuelling...
And then somebody else wins +1 as a gift.

i think its good because drivers are forced to attack first place now otherwise they wont win the championship. last years there were a lot of drivers who where driving like a calculator and taking no risks and thats a shame

Of course. What about a formal complaint against that decision by ourselves?

    Regards
  1. Why not just skip the entire race and do one superpole and give the fastest time the points. Also much cheaper for the teams!

I signed that petition that Lewis posted. It's the stupidest rule change I've ever seen in my time watching F1. :pissed-off:

Not long then, no tyre change rule was pretty stupid back in 05.
