Im stuck in the low 2.02s where i will find 2s ill never know
Becketts and Maggots are all about being smooth and careful. I enter the first part in 4th, shift down to 3rd for the second part and hold a steady line in 3rd for the final part out onto the Hangar Straight. Stowe is taken in 3rd.

One trick I use is to only use about 2/3 of 2nd gear when exiting the corner on a bend. Shifting to 3rd a bit sooner gives much more traction especially out of Abbey.

The final section is the trickiest for me but I do this:

3rd gear for the chicane before going under the bridge, stay in 3rd until the second to last corner and drop to 2nd. Stay in 2nd for tiny straight before last "proper" corner Luffield. Short shift into 3rd for best traction onto the Pit Straight.

Way off pace for this one. Last minute tuning tweaks did nothing to improve times.
R1 started at back and pretty much stayed there !

R2 mid grid start but trying to avoid the crunching at the first few corners I dropped back several places. Late in race had a battle with Tom for 6th, could have probably taken him if I'd been braver, we seemed to have similar pace. Then the white noise hit! Really put me off on key corners, almost lost car completely. Dropped back and then was having a ding-dong with Daz. He did well, overtook me, I battled to get close but no good. Last lap, on last big right hander Daz was way ahead but ran off track, caught him up, managed to overtake and gain place back.

I am going to put my Lotus on club car share. If anyone fancies a dabble on the 3 we tracks we raced for this tourney let me know how you get on time wise. I know I am not the fastest but the car wasn't competitive the way I set it up / raced it. Ho-hum.

Errmmm... guess what.... finished both races in 5th :D yep, the very same place as always, at several series and events.

You guys can call me 'HI5, 5th Avenue, Give me 5, 5th Element... whatever... :D

Both races were very fun and hard, always with someone behind and/or in front. Always busy defending and attacking.
Nice scrapps with Tom, Steve and a 190 which driver's name I forgot (sorry mate).
But last 2 laps from race 2 must be see from the replay. An epic battle with Jim, although very fair and clean.
In fact those 2 laps could impress easely others epic battles like: John Cleland vs David Leslie, James Thompson vs Matt Neal,
Anthony Reid vs Jason Plato, just refering a few BTCC races I had the pleasure to see live on MOTORSTV since the late 90's.

Anyway, more two great races with/against great drivers. Thank you all.

Congrats to winners and podium and to all finishers.

Cheers

Race 1: Tried to avoid the madness at the start and dropped down to 8th, then managed to get a few place back before I rolled the car again at Bridge. Garry the Saviour was on hand, helping me to my wheels again (Cheers again Garry!!), but the race was done on my part because everyone was miles ahead.

Race 2: Started from 3rd, got into 2nd behind Dylan. Had a great battle with him for a couple of laps then I got a better run out of Copse and went for the overtake into the first part of Becketts, just pulling it off without contact, although we both ran wide. Was OK for a few more laps until the noise started putting me right off (I was so close to pulling over until the noise stoppped) this allowed to Karl and Chris to close the gap, thus putting me under a bit more pressure. Once the noise had gone it was OK and I started to pull away slightly.

Nurburgring - 2:11.563, a little oversteery out of 2nd gear but otherwise it's a nice balance through the faster corners and isn't easy to roll. The gearing seems ok

Catalunya - 2:02.683, oversteery again, mainly Turn 3, but again the overall handling isn't too bad. You could try to shorten the gear ratio because your not getting everything out of 5th gear down the straight. This may also improve acceleration throughout the lap.

Silverstone - 2:04.483, the handling is spot on, I really enjoyed driving it. The gears are far too long, ideally you need to make use of 5th gear because you have 6 gears. I know last night we we're talking about which gear we used for top speed, I apologize if I confused you but we we're only running with 5 gears. You should be able to gain a bit more speed tweaking this.

Please don't think I'm being over critical, it's just an honest observation. Hope it helps
