No thanks Rob. Ian bell need not be working for ISI...Nope. rFactor doesn't mix well with Shift arcade games..lol's.

No but really Ian Bell needs to stay off the forums cause in the last few weeks when he was on Virtual Sim Racing, he made an utter fool of himself, and even had the nerve to use terms on BSNismo that I thought were distasteful and very very unprofessional. A bad sign for a sim that is over half made and still gives me no feel or sensation that now it could never be a sim period.

Well then your thinking is just like Ians. Quantity not quality. You got money in your head and so does he. Hey it's a business to make money. But you sound as arrogant as Ian himself. You the kind of guy who took bail out money for your bonus like some of those fraudulaunt firms did on Wallstreet that Obama shook his head at? You sound like that type. You need to get back to WMD and stop spreading your arrogant ass around here anymore friend.

Sorry for sounding frank, but guys like you and Ian are trash. Go get back to work making that sim successful so you can make a mill off of it, cause thats all you care about. Bet your not even in the hobby of sim racing. Just a businessman with his hands out.

Farrell it was all about money in the first place.
Not about the racing or the fun, only the money.
The ones who thinks it's for the community is just stupid.( Me included )
They feed people with false information to get more money, our money.

    Only the big guys win.

  1. What's your username on WMD? I'm curious to see what the post is that the moderator felt the need to correct you. I suspect you are the type that I refer to frequently that has a unique inability to communicate like a normal human being and ends up perplexed why others object.

Your post is barely coherent, but the impression I'm getting is that you hate capitalism, and the idea of working hard to make a quality product. It goes without saying that if the game is bad, then we're not going to make money off it, and we really do want to make money. Ian doesn't have 997 Turbo because he's in the business of charity. We're totally committed to making a very good game that people will enjoy and want to buy. SMS is very committed to the community involvement and while there are a handful of disgruntled people here, there are thousands at WMD that are enjoying themselves. I wonder who has the problem. Is it the handful of bitter people here, or is it the thousands at WMD that are contributing in a positive manner to help the game progress?

Being that none of what I might say could possibly make any sense to you, I'm pretty sure you think it's everyone else that has the problem, and everyone should agree with you. Being a bitter cast-out always comes with a healthy dose of paranoia, and lots and lots of envy. Maybe if you worked harder and accomplished something, you wouldn't despise people who do so much.

I appreciate your advice to me, but if I want to keep spreading my ass here, I will. I've never thought of it in those terms, but I kind of like that.

Oh look.. there's some more victimization. What, exactly, is this "false information" you refer to? You think that SMS started the project simply to get your money? Are you off your meds again?

Every single day, developers at SMS interact with the community members and integrate sensible feedback into the game. That's just a fact. SMS is constantly asking for feedback, and get a tremendous response. SMS has said time and again that they are working like mad to make a product that we would all be proud to have contributed to, and look forward to owning when it's released. We're going to have a great time with it. SMS has even made it possible for people to make money in the process, but because some people think money is evil, that's looked at with disdain.

The irony is that you use products every day that people produced in order to make money. The CPU in your computer was developed by many engineers who do their job to support their family. Intel (or AMD) isn't in the charity business, and they don't give them away for free. But yet you expect SMS to develop and release a game for altruistic (that's a big word, look it up) reasons?

We're just about a year away from release now. It's going to be great fun, and be quite profitable too. I'm glad you won't be involved, because we're not interested in bitter haters that have nothing to contribute but irrational whining.

We'll be the Big Guys Winning, and you'll be on the outside looking in. That's how it goes for you in everything, right?

I think you would have to close the pcars thread to stop the haters. I wanted to talk about the Lotus models but I daren't post 'cos it just attracts them. It doesn't matter what topic you post on :(

The best course of action was to lock this thread. Somehow the first post after the "unlock" has gone even further down the shit drain than anything before it.

Turd throwing contests never end well, should have been left locked!

Why lock the thread?.....if someone is out of line, a mod can simply moderate that individual.
  3. Super Koala @ Simberia

But they don't. There are plenty of "out of line" posts" as anyone can see. Look at the new builds thread. Bram is even joining in now in this thread. I find it a bit sad that people who like pcars can't post and have a reasonable discussion without drawing venom from the haters.

Perhaps you might want to awaken from your marketing fairytale where there's only positives to every product/service.

No what I might want to do is discuss the lotus cars in pcars

You are probably right. People like me should not be on this site trolling, spreading poison and stuff .

If it makes amends I won't be back and I won't slam the door behind me
  6. Sorry I forgot that I am not entitled to have an opinion as administrator of the forum. :)
I think I made one sarcastic post about WMD_Micas greedy behavior and people who in general aren't sim racing fans but corporate investors that aren't primarily racers.

I always hoped we were a community of motorsport and sim/arcade racing fans but the last couple of months I am not so sure anymore.
The community almost looks bipolar at some points with people that pirate their games and refuse to pay anything for the hard work of others and people that only jump on the bandwagon on multiple websites because they have to protect their investment.

There is, I hope, still a majority of true gamers that don't care what sims they play as long as they enjoy it. Would be nice if that group got a voice as well so we don't have to listen to the daily nonsense some of the bipolar camps are spreading 24/7.
  7. Bram, there are fundamental differences between the two "camps":

One is seemingly doing all they can to damage the project, the other comes in to defend the project after such attacks and try to set the record straight when the innuendo and lies have piled up. You could indeed call that polar opposites.

Some RD members seem to have Masters Degrees in snide remarks, and clearly post to create controversy around pCARS.

It's fine to dislike the sim and talk about it,for members and mods alike, even though the actual sim is a year away. What gets to me is the constant (and I'll use the relevant words from your own T&C here) defamatory, abusive, hateful, false, harassing and offensive postings directed at WMD/SMS and it's members and staff. As long as that utter crap is flying, you have to expect reactions to it.

    Gamertag:

The things are simple and clear.Everyone who joined the ride in pCARS expected a flow of honey and milk because of the statement made at that time as it will be the best of the best.
People plunged to take part of the project thinking they will help on making the best SIM ever made or some thinked they might do some good money over this product when its finished or they were just curious about this new product.
But slowly people started to form groups.....groups with different opinions about the unfinished product, starting to trow with sh...mud...one to each other, people who meet sometime on a server and they were "mates" friends and maybe in the end will meet on another server to have "fun"...
But what can we do with "bad attitude" of frustrated people, even if they are Pro or Cons doesnt matter. Is that hard to keep a proffesional discution about one problem or idea....
Is that hard to accept someone opinion over this product, bad or good?
I thought here at RD i will find top of the TOP drivers and gents with positive attitude, but instead i find this thread disturbing on how much insolence is here.
So,are you going to keep calm and have a polite discution or you will continue to regress to stone age.
And yes i am a registered user of pCARS. tryed and didnt like how it handles, but i wait and time to time i go back in to test it and see whats new,i might have a surprise.
Who knows, maybe when its closer to its finish they will nail it and it might transform in to a SIM game or just get closer or it might be a total disaster for SIM players, but it will be played from many many people either way.If will not turn to be a SIM as a finished product,i will not buy it because after so mutch time playing SIM other type of games will feel rubish.
About lies, well everyone lies...every day, even if its good intention or to escape from penalty.
Some cant help it and keeps lying and belive their own lies to be the real truth.
We need to keep cool and respond in a civilized manner not like "i make more money than you" or" your stupid".If someone is over the line than YOU show you have more brain cells and keep calm. All damn wars has started because of a difference of opinion.

Funny thing is I completely agree with David and the others as far as the state of the game goes right now, only difference is I think it can improve (but it won't surprise me if it doesn't) and I have no burning desire to tell everyone who post something positive about the game what a POS it is, how bad Ian Bell and everyone else at SMS is and how we are being fooled to buy Shift 3 by their evil marketing plot.

Good thing for me I could spend €10 on trying the game during alpha/beta and up until release and base my opinion on the latest builds, instead of buying it at full price and finding a turd inside the box like I've done with plenty of other games in the past (Shift 2 being a perfect example).

Opinions are like Arse holes. Everyone has one. The biggest thing that riles me about PCars is the fact that the game is aimed at Console gamers and their money. The PC loving Sim Racers that were promised the holy grail and the best sim ever are now leaving the building. Nobody likes a developer that tells blatant lies. Lie to me once (Shift 1) and lie to me twice (Shift 2) but lie to me a third time...(Pcars) and I just wan't to dismiss them as serious straight away. Serious Sim? Not a chance in hell. Eye candy oh yes.

As for those who moan that they can't discuss the Lotus with out haters jumping in, do it, just not on this thread. Start your own fanboy thread telling everyone how the lotus can bang off the track sides with impunity and go fast over make believe super tracks. But this thread is now the official moan thread and no one makes you read it or add to it.

For me personally, I like to thank the likes of Micas (WMD) for being such bad publicity for WMD. He is doing a damn fine job.

If someone wants to try PCars, wait until it's released and buy it in the steam sale for $10 and stop paying to be beta testers.
