ben3072, post the car you drove with next time, even tho it’s obvious it was a McLaren now.

Well, I’ve made more than 105 laps on this track just to test all these setups…

I've used Kartik Sri Harsha setup in a 100% quick race with Alonso just to test tyre wear: be aware, if you use the setup as is option tyres, medium, will last approximately 14 laps instead of 17; prime, hard, up to 20, maximum 21 laps instead of 22. So, you might want to make one extra stop or use prime tyres twice instead of once.
On Marussia in career I qualified 19th, ahead of Caterhams, with a time of 1:42.837, Kovalainen, 20th, made 1:43.491, more than one second slower than me. Glock was 23rd with 1:44.481. Excellent setup.

Ya Mate,
I made This on TT so it may be a tire eater. Also the AI was pitting twice any way so i didn't gave much important to tire wear and which setup you used for Marussia??

Really good setup thanks. Didn't use a McLaren for it though, used the Marussia team because I am in Career. If you could find a Marussia setup for this track then thanks. Until then I am using yours. Doesn't do well in the consecutive corners though in sector 1 after the first corner. But I was using Marussia so it's fine.

Would be cool to know how my setup feels on The Circuit of Americas.

Also after doing some online racing today, and encountering the usual bashers, I was making up setups on the fly, and most of the time I felt comfortable with it.
I have a good idea on some setups for certain tracks already, its just a matter of time, it takes quite a lot of hours til I am happy with a particular setup.

Just a word of advice really on setups, I feel at the moment that most of the setups are similar to 2011, except for the Wing downforce levels.

In F1 2010, setups preferred 11-1, 10-1, 2-1 etc.
In F1 2011, I mostly kept wings to the same values, 11-11, 7-7, 5-5, with some exceptions, and even then it was only one number difference (9-8 for example).

This is just a hunch from messing around on online mode, but I felt wings like 11-6, 11-4, 11-3, 9-3 and 6-1 to be working well for me. Having the rear wing too high is unnecessary it seems, as the rear is usually pretty stable, its the front end which is a lot more unstable this year. If i had to guess, I would do a 4-1 or 5-1 around Monza.

Like you see above, I used an 11-3 in Austin. I originally tried 6-6, 7-7, 11-11, and I was getting so much quicker in corners but losing speed down the straights, so I thought.. What about 11-1? It worked pretty well at first, but I felt I could do better, so I tried 11-3. I could do 1:36-1:37s with 11-1, but 11-3 got me into the 1:35s

hmmm, I have always thought the rear wing value should be higher than the front wing to have a stable car...

also any advice with tc, decided to race on 2012 w/o assists, manual gears took a while, but I am ok now, tc how eva is kiiling me, I loose like 2-3 secs per lap w/o tc...
on previous games, I used to start with auto gears and tc... and always managed to match my team mate on legend, but now, I am 2-3 secs down with no assists...

any help is appreciated
