Oh. Just picked up the news that Lotus has terminated the "sponsorhip" with Lotus. Though, Lotus didn't really sponsor Lotus, they just had the name there. Lotus decided that having Lotus on the car, without getting money, was a waste of space on the car. So Lotus contacted Lotus, and got out of the contract. That means that Lotus no longer have the possibility to buy 50% of Lotus. Though, Lotus will still keep the Lotus name, though they are not sponsored or owned in any way by Lotus. This is because the feel the Lotus name will help them get sponsors. Even though they are not connected to Lotus.

This whole Lotus thing is as bad as LOLA's effort in 97!

Well, Lotus did help Genii with some debt, and they had an option to buy 50% of the team. But things might have change quite a bit.
There has also been talks in the market of a consortium of local banks, which includes CIMB Bank Bhd and Malayan Banking Bhd,
having stopped lending money to Lotus due to its management’s inability to meet certain conditions in their loan agreements.

So, the loans Danny Bahar said they would get... went where?

Thus far, the bankers have advanced Lotus as much as £200 million (RM976 million). It is understood that the decision to send in the two forensic teams was made last month after Proton’s management and Lotus’ top management team from Norwich were summoned to Kuala Lumpur to brief the new owner of Proton on what is happening in the company.

Lotus F-Duct exits. It might be possible that they have third tunnel leading to starter hole above the diffuser. So the air get channeled more to the narrow channel and away from starter hole and the middle tunnel has constant ratio of air going thru it. If that is true then it has even more effect, in low speed the air gets channeled to act as doublediffuser sealing the air and at high speeds the rear wing is stalled but at the same time, diffuser returns to normal action... And this all without any moving parts and legal.

There is a theory that it still has some relation with DRS so that the small openings shown on the picture would activate with DRS but i don't think so.. With a third tunnel it gets more complex but it has certain logic in it then...
 
The large main tunnel is very curved before the exit, that might act as a obestacle in high speed blocking some of the airflow so it gets' forced to the narrow L-channel... (is this then L-Duct?)
