Vettel gained 6 places in Chinese GP started p11 and finished in P5

However he lost places at Malaysia. The "Positions Gained"Section is a collective stat of the places gained or lost over the whole season.

not passing by when someone is in pits or have DNF but proper overtaking on track would be a cool feature.

Actually, this statistics are just insane this season, such a close grid, you can see it by just looking how close the are , not even saying what is going on in the races themselves. This statistics page is a great idea and really easy to see what's going on, thanks for that
