Our second Rally for 2012 is open for sign-up.

This time, the emphasis is on FUN, so of course we revert to the popular RWD cars, and step back into the historic cars. We have a new RWD car to try, the Toyota Corolla AE86, which is well known to most older rally drivers, and is rather nice to drive in RSRBR.

This car is typical RWD, but not as difficult / tricky to handle as say the Escort or Volvo. However, it still has the typical RWD characteristics that make it fun to drive. It's not quite as quick as the Escorts, but it's handling may suit many drivers, especially the less experienced ones not used to RWD.

All Stages are Gravel to allow drivers to fully experience the tail wagging and sliding which is needed to drive RWD and gives the most fun. We are using Australia first, to give you some practice in dry weather, then we head to the less favourable British weather in England.
We return to Reduced damage , but plenty of care will be needed, we don't want you wrecking these old classic cars.

DRIVER BRIEFING NOTES:

1. This car is typical RWD, not overly powerful but it will slide around. The handbrake won't work with these RWD cars either, so flicking the tail will be needed for the tight turns. This car should reward controlled aggressive driving.

2. RBR Pacenotes are designed for default cars, Normal conditions and Good weather. Please remember to adjust your speeds to suit these cars.

3. Tyre selections are the drivers responsibility. If you use the automatic tyre selection option in RSRBR2011, please beware that sometimes it may give you the wrong tyre for the conditions. Always double check your tyres, it is critical (especially for Snow Stages).

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

Good luck all, hope you have funning sliding this old girl around on the gravel. :)

Finally got my new wheel this morning, and having some rbr related probs with it. being, setup. anyone got a decent setup for g27?

Erm... does this mean both AE86? We have the Levin and the Sprinter Trueno(Which is it's other name in GT). Both of them were also labeled Corolla once I think.

I've been watching all Initial-D stages, so I quite know the "Hachi-Roku":)

The Sprinter Trueno was driven by the main character, the Levin by his friend.

or is it another Toyota I haven't noticed yet?
