Not Created Equal 2 Preview 2

    This is the "Proof of Concept" version of my desired Not Created Equal mod series. It's got less features then NCE1, but it's a lot more streamlined. Basically, this is an APP that let's you very quickly fine tune each cars' performance individually. So if you're in Season 5 of Career mode and the Manor you love is slowly falling down the field, you can give your car a new boost using this mod.

    This mod would be best used alongside CW's More Equal AI tweaks found in his mod here : http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/equal-cars-mod.14332/ (note: his car performances would be overwritten when using my mod - but the driver AI should be same for the Hamilton/Rosburg as it is for a Palmer/Magnussen)-

    Actually, as much as I like CW's AI tweaks, it's not currently best used with this mod. The strength of the AI actually mittigates much of the performance changes, allowing a low star team to beat a high star team.

    Each team can be customized to have a set performance (between 0.5 and 5 stars). You can make the Mercedes worse then a Manor, or a Renault being the best car on the grid! Any team can become a front runner.

    Each star increases/reduces the cars base Chassis Mass, Downforce and Drag. Each car will still have its own charactersitcs (i.e. Redbull will always have better downforce compared to the other attributes of the car).

    You can decide entierly which teams have which level of car. This can be based off your own preference or ideas. Or you may wish to tie it into a game mechanic (i.e., if you beat your team's expected position, increase your car performance by a star or half star next season). Or roll a dice, play the career however you like.


    Got a mod with your faviourite skin? Put that car's ERP in this App's installation folder (replacing the vanilla ERP) and it will get imported into the game along with your new performance settings.



    This version of Not Created Equal 2 might currently be nothing more then a quick "make a car go faster" utility - but don't underestimate the potential of this. This mod was created over two long evenings only, and it can get quite sophisticated quite quickly.

    It's very easy to add some 'random variation" to the stars for each team (so one year a 3* Mclaren may be worse slightly, other years it maybe quicker). It's very easy to modify other stats, and fine tune stats individually. It woudln't be too hard to add 'unreliability' to a car (and then use the app to 'reroll' the chances when you break down in a race, hoping next time will be better).

    It would be very easy to add a 'upgrade' system to the app, and a resource, so you can develop you car within the app instead of the base game (where the experience can be fine tuned, or deeper). Resources could be added, graphics, etc etc - this app could be a mini-management game, controlling all kinds of settings for your career's car - to use within f1 2016.

    As I stated in many a thread - I am no artist. Unless you want every button to be the same 'square' with numbers inside it, I really need some graphic designers on board to provide graphics.

    Also, if anyone wants to play around with other stats of the cars (Kers, gear change wear, engine wear coeff, radiator size) to bring new variables (and thus, more features) to the mod, then any and all testers of the cars are welcome.

    Install
    ####################################################
    Unrar and Install the App.

    Back up your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2016\asset_groups\f1_2016_vehicle_package\teams" folder. Do that now.

    Left Click Top Left Button - Let command line run!

    Note: You only need to do this once ever unless you're going to try to overwrite the original ERPs with a modded one (e.g., so you can use a new texture) In which case, reinstall by using this button again.
    Note: Between my usage of .bat files to move the erps to the F1 directory, and the Archiver, expect your antivirus to flag this up as a potential hazardous file. I assure you it is not. Grant exceptions to any file it tries to block (with regard to the mod).
    Note: The interface of this app is really primitive. I could do with artists on board.

    Changing Team Performance
    ####################################################

    Left click to increase a team's stats by half a star
    Right click to decrease a team's stats by half a star

    Note: Star ratings go from 0.5 - 5 stars
    Note: Chassis Weight, Drag and Downforce are changed for each star (by a set rate).
    Note: Perfect Balance hasn't been aimed for here. For Example - a 5 star force india maybe slightly better then a 5 star mercedes.
    Note: AI performance is not changed. A low Star Mercedes will still have Hamiliton beating a high star vanilla midfield team (because Hamiliton's AI is set to be faster then others).

    Importing into f1 2016
    ####################################################

    Left click the bottom right button to save the performance you desire - let the command line run (it will take a while).
    If it's finished and you wish to re-run the import again (i.e., you have changed your mind about a team's desired performance - the right click the box to take off the 'safety', and left click it again when you are ready.

    Note: This takes 5 minutes to process, install and move all 11 teams. This may be quicker or slower depending on your system.
    Note: If you've not installed the game in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2016\", then your performance files will not be copied corrected. Otherwise, they'll head straight to your game folder to be used next time you launch f1 2016.
    Note: If you have installed steam or F12016 in a non-standard place, edit "archiverINSTALL.bat"'s final 11 lines replace the normal stram location with that of your game.

    I like the idea but I just don't understand, if I give Ferrari and Mercedes 4 stars and Manor 1 star than why is after a qualifying: Manor 1st-4th, Ferrari 2nd-3rd, Mercedes 18th-19th?
