About
New Jersey Motorsports Park: Lightning course is a 1.9 Mile road course located in southern NJ in the town of Millville. It is built on the old Millville WWII Army airfield. It was built in 2008 along with the larger sister course Thunderbolt. The courses are named after the P-38 Lightning and P-47 Thunderbolt. This release only includes the Lightning course for now.
This is my third, scratch built, track for AC. This is my first time using aerial LiDAR data and is my first time building a track that still exists. I picked it for a few reasons. For one this is the very first time the Lightning course has been put into any sim. It is also the first track I personally have ever driven on in real life. It is a fun little course with some real high speed sections and works for just about any car.
