This has been repainted in the style of Kokusai Kaihatsu Racing, originally a 'Long Tail' this is what has been quoted about it;
Chassis 01R was the original F1 GTR prototype, which was pressed into service for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Kokusai Kaihatsu Racing had originally been allocated 08R but that had been needed to replace one of the Gulf cars that had been crashed heavily in an accident at Jarama. The car was engineered by Lanzante and driven by Lehto, Sekiya and Dalmas. In qualifying it was already the quickest McLaren and during the very wet race, an epic drive by Lehto gave it the edge and ultimately the victory.
