Thank You!
at first i was like: ^^ wtf natural filter is the best. but then i tried it and must admit, some mid-clear weather (which i always use) looks better now in CV1 with my own pp filter than the Natural one weathers! Mugello is a dream and Nords.. well even without using it with AC content manage (which i cannot use because i should launch AC via SC4 to get proper AF working) it works amazingly with my old good custom mid clear weather textures.
Congrats!

you can also launch Content Manager with SC4 too. I do this and it works. As long as CM is open, SimCommander is doing his Job. Just link Content Manager in "Game Exe" and also in "wait for"...
Mindblowing, as always. Do you recommend a specific time of day for dusk and dawns?
Peter Boese
Peter Boese
Thank You. The dusks and dawns are designed to have a nice color evolution over the whole time from 8:00-12:00 or 12:00-18:00. If you want a realistic dusk or dawn, just set time-compression to 6-10. For this reason i set the cloud speed to 0...
Always amazing to see with what improvements you can come up with every update. Looking forward to 2.6!

Thank you. In 2.6 i will redo the "few clouds". I'm working on the 4 seasons...

Really nice that you've expanded the range, but I honestly think that my favorites looked better in v1.4.
Calm before storm and Sun breaks through had more contrast/drama back then. Now, they're a bit too blended in and slightly bland IMO.

Also, although I do use content manager, it certainly isn't required unless you want to use the real weather option.
These weathers can be installed and used like any other weather mod.
They could also be used online prior to this, as long as people had them installed.

i'd been thinking about bringing back more of the "drama" in these weathers back. After AC 1.8 and 1.9 esp. this is a little bit difficult, but maybe in the next versions.

BUT for a simple usage of this MOD you need Content Manager! If you just use the standard launcher, the custom cloud textures, which are located in my weathers, are not used, because the standard AC launcher doesn't copy them to its texture/clouds folder. And this will look absolutely awful, because my textures have completely different dimensions and alpha values. And online usage is also not supported, because the server does not tell Content Manager which weather it is using and so it cannot load the right textures. There are some workarounds, but they are not comfortable for non-modders....
In my opinion the new dusk/dawn weather lose much of their value by the fact that AC is STILL missing a proper lighting system. That said, this is by far the most amazing and outstanding weather mod available today.

Thank You! And yes it is sad that there are no light-beams. One of my big point of criticism of this fantastic simulator. Maybe one time...
looks mind blowing but requires much performance on your pc but maybe its just my woodn one that struggles with the pp filters
Peter Boese
Peter Boese
Thanks! FPS impact is caused more by the number and size of the clouds than by the PPFilter.
When we think it can not get better, you surprise us!
Thank you for your dedication.

I will surprise you again!!! Next update is in the making and is a next step to realistic and convincing weather...
Stunning as always thanks mate

Peter Boese
Your welcome! Nice to hear...
This combined with Real Billboards & Stuff make Assetto Corsa almost perfect. The only issue I have is that I can't turn on sweetfx in Assetto, I don'y know why. Sorry for my english, btw.

Thank You! darkyjoe's RBS 1.10 is absolutely stunning and an important part of further immersion...
Just downloaded the latest version, knowing it will be awesome! Thanks for your work!

Peter Boese
Your Welcome...
thank you again for this mod and all updates!!! I use only weathers every time with default filters and no sweetFX (i have try sweetFX and some filters but I dont like it) is this OK?
Peter Boese
Peter Boese
Thanks! And sure, if the default filter works best for you, than its the filter you should use...
Fantastic mod. Really immersive, all these weathers feels like real life

Thank You! Stay tuned for version 2.5. With the dusks and dawns an additional part of reality and immersion will come...
Had AC since day one, today I used your mod properly with the content manager.... all I can say is WOW!!!! AC will never be the same again for me. Truly outstanding work. Should be made official content.

Thank You! I'm glad you like it...
New version is fantastic. Thanks

Thank You!
Amazing . A suggestion for a more realistic and commonly seen sky would be chemtrail day .
Peter Boese
Peter Boese
Thanks! ATM with this kind of automatic texture positioning AC provides, geometric objects are the pure horror. If we're able to control the positioning, i will do some plane trails...
Great work Peter.
You should name yourelf Peter Pan cuz ..thisd is some real magic. =)
Only minor thing, but for me I don't know if anyone else has problem with it, some textures of clouds are too big and that makes me wonder about performance. Plus they take much more of my, day by day, smaller and smaller hd. =)
But I do resize for myself with Paint.net, save them in DX5 format, that saves a lot of space and... they still look very same. Perfect I mean. ;)
My eye can't see the difference with ~50% smaller textures.
Keep up.

Thank You!
I use those big resolutions for some reasons:
1. FOV in Replays is really small and so lowres clouds don't look good
2. I don't know which FOV the user has set.
3. Many people are using 4K and maybe in 1 or 2 years there are the first 6K. I just want to have the resolution of the clouds bigger than it is drawn to prevent an enlargement. Like SGSSAA or DSR it is always better to shrink to save texture quality.
such good stuff here, subtle and classy, good work buddy
