Pre-Ordered Formula Truck Available
Reiza Studios has released their Formula Truck sim for customers that pre-purchased the game a couple of weeks ago as a sign of appreciation after the postponed release. The Brazilian developers stressed to say that this release will not be the final build but an open beta to fix the final bugs in the game. If you have pre-ordered your game check your email inbox for a message how to download your game.
A final build will be made available for all newly truckers soon via the Formula Truck site.
For those that were lucky enough to get their hands on a game already, you can join our servers in the online lobby as they will stay open for public all weekend for testing. Hop in to say hi, honk the horn and drift these mothertruckers through some corners.
Casual Racing Club events are scheduled soon and so is the highly anticipated online championship: Monsta Truck Series. Keep up-to-date in the Formula Truck forums.

Im still waiting for my email, like ive been waiting since 29th December.
Man, how long must one wait?
I hope its good after all this waiting!
Same here, i pre ordered the day the pre orders started to be taken and nothing.
Be patient guys. the wait worths it. The sim is simply amazing. I’ve had my first laps earlier and it rocks. Great work Reiza
check the media gallery for some videos! be patient for the email guys, they will come
Now they release it…my loadcell died yesterday :`(
Thanks, Reiza!!!
One question: Will there be a small update from open beta to 1.0? Or will we need to download the entire game again?
Perfect timing as well. School holidays start on Wednesday!
been away for the weekend, received the seriel, but no download link. I emailed reiza, but can anyone help in the meanwhile? thanks
nvm, they are quick to reply, had a response back with all the links, now let’s get mothertrucking lol
Short question: Where can i found my plr file? Under User Data is no profile.
Reiza just emailed me back and got the links can’t wait for this, top job guys
Depends on the extent of incoming modifications. So far, a small update should be enough to cover it for those who already have v1.00.
This is freaking awesome! Might even get me to join the online side of fun here at RD.
Thanks Reiza, you really made it!
Strange, I have it right there. Just like in other similar games.
Thanks for the release of this Open Beta version.
!
It’s not easy for me, but I’m really enjoying the driving
thanks for this beta, drive is fun, same quality as GSC for 3d models and physic..
I hope my wife let me spend the sunday with this game ahah
waiting for final version with all instruments working
but, where is the PLR?
EDIT:
found PLR, I had to launch the exe with admin rigths
one word to describe this, awesome they drive really nicely and are a lot of fun
I pre-ordered, paid but didn´t get my link to download. Is there anything else i can do??
Pleeeeeeese…. I´so anxious to play this simulator!!!
Just wanted to say thanks to Reiza for the getting the game early, and that these trucks are monsters to drive, and having alot of fun driving them.
Barry
I am sure the email will follow shortly. If not, ask Reiza. I am sure they need to send a lot of emails, so give them some time.
Totally brilliant. Absolutely loving it. So much fun.
Through the last few corners at Interlagos hunting through the gears, clipping the apex’s whilst dialling in some opposite lock, grin from ear to ear.
when I choose a certain truck, in the setup menu I see also setup for others trucks, at the moment is there only 1 physic? a part different engines
how can I get rid of icons? I want only my truck on screen
You have to goto your plr file, go to graphic options and scroll down to a line that looks like this
Display Icons="1" // Icons displayed if HUD is off: 0 = none, 1 = flags only, 2 = all, change it to what you want, save it, and you’ll be set.
The player file is in userdata, your name, plr file.
How do you guys feel about FT now you have been able to play it for a day? Likes/Dislikes?
Loving it
Can’t wait for a series to get underway!
i set the races to 8 laps and on the 8th lap when fuel gets low my engine starts to overheat aswell?
I really love it, even the crashes are more spectacular.:)
So far so good. Am having some fun with it.Waiting for the RD server to be locked down with P/W so we can keep wreckers out.
Awesome
It seems that the overheating occurs as a result of over-revving, the torque is at lower rpm’s anyway so try shifting earlier.

I locked the RD server (or 1 of them) last night when I set it up. 1 public, 1 closed RD one. Will have a look into that when I get home, to protect is again if its indeed open now.

Indeed, try to shift BEFORE the counter goes into the red, and you will have
a – no more overheating issues
b – more torque available and a smoother ride;)
My experience with it… Awesome. Really love the game. Working hard on getting all arranged for the series to be announced. Keep an eye out for the official announcement.
.
To bad there are so much multiplayer mismatch issues. I hope that’s addressed soon, so we can enjoy it in race format as well
Big ups to Reiza as I sent an e-mail for assistance as I did not receive my pre-order download links. Went to breakfast (South African time 11:00) and got home with an e-mail from Reiza.
Brilliant services guys! And loving these beasties
Anyone working on a horn modification already :roflmao:
Yes, I am trying to change the sound, to a sexy voice calling "It’s Bram Hengeveld behind you, move OVER!"
Loving it. Absolute blast to drive.
it should be a problem for high rpm, you can change gear when first or second green light turn on, look at the torque curve of volvo engine
It’s a revelation
In these times where plenty of new racers are appearing, Formula Trucks is an absolute breath of fresh air.
It’s exciting, it’s loud (and sounds fantastic) , it looks great and Reiza have done an incredible job of portraying the power and weight of these monsters into our PCs. I was always looking forward to it after discovering GSC but I didn’t expect it to actually feel like I was driving a truck..but it really does
I dislike this game and it was a waste of money for me. The menu system./ control system is badly designed and not user friendly at all with inspiration from "Clipart". Then there is the issue with graphics which is piss poor and if I have to listen to the annoying skid sounds I’ll have a hemerage. The only thing the game has going is the physics which makes you feel you’re behind a proper formula truck. I wonder if I can sell my CD Key as I have no intention of playing it again.
it’s Gmotor based, you can’t claim a DX11 graphic and REIZA didn’t publish photoshopped screen shots
I think you can sell the key but maybe it needs change the email associated at that key
I have a strange gear behavior. The 1st and 2nd gearm seems to have a same ratio and they are also very short. I can easily start with 3th gear.
This is discussed here and there is a reason for this
http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/gear-ratio.66322/#post-1395326
The menu system is about as simple and practical as it gets and is the same as Game Stock Car has been for last couple of years so it was not a surprise.
The graphics are great considering the game engine it’s based on and being a sim rather than an arcade title it’s about being practical and not ‘shiny’. The frame rate is nice and smooth and much more important than visuals.
There was plenty of pre-release gameplay footage aorund here and online so nothing should have been a surprise IMO. As for the annoying skid sounds, that’s probably the result of throwing a 5 ton truck round corners on a racetrack
The strange thing is in the world of sim racing, many would say the most important thing is physics and that’s what you say is the only thing this has going for it.
…and personally I think your post is bordering on rude. The title is $25 so the equivalent of around £17 – just to put it into perspective
Thanks a lot Steve.
I thought it was a real behavior but wasn’t sure.
Its based on the old Gmotor2 engine as per Race 07 etc, The games £15 (Bargain) If you want DX11 eye candy get Grid 2 when it comes out and pay at least twice as much! I’m very impressed with FTruck, It works great, Give me great physics over graphics anyday.
Ich kann mir die Beta nicht laden.
Habe es schon mehrere Male versucht, der Download wird gestartet, bricht dann aber an Geschwindigkeit immer weiter ein, bis dann ganz abgebrochen wird.
Gibt es da Abhilfe?
EDIT: sorry. delete this
Anyone else have ridiculously slow download times? I’m downloading at 60Kb/s even though I’ve got 60mb download speed :O_o: syas it will take 23 hours
it doesn’t matter how fast your internet is, mine is 100MB/s but i do not go by that when i download from servers, you can only download as fast as the server will allow you, ie bandwidth & location.
Fair enough
cheers anyway
Patience grasshopper
Yeah, but what he meant is that the servers where the files are hosted are slow, and that’s a valid point.
Though, when I downloaded it, it was quite fast
Might just be a slow day, I’ll try again tomorrow
Have you tried the alternate mirror, I for myself have gotten 60 kb with the first link from gameformulatruck and 160 kb on the alternative from reizastudios steadily on both files simultaniously while beeing absolutely butchered on those speed test whilst on release day aswell.
My Speedtest was about 3 Mb/s Down and 0.8 Mb/s Up today so I can be luckily enough to get atleast decent speeds.
It’s a bit faster today, only 12 hours. That will do I suppose
WOW!…I must say this is a fantastic surprise fellas…I am VERY impressed. See I JUST discovered this type of racing with your new game…here in the states we do not have this, ours are more like big nascars and, they dont race very often…NOTHING like the organized racing you south american and euro fellas enjoy…I am hooked ! lol
As for the game, VERY nice work ! the best 25 dollars i have spent in YEARS. You fellas have a winner on your hands here.
Nice physics, very smooth running, nice detail on the models, very nice tracks as well.
One of the best Gmotor based games i have seen in a while.
Good service also fellas, I ordered tonight and got the game in 2 hours…installed the update and downloaded all the templates. All working great
More than I can say for many of bigger developers,,,they could learn a thing or two from you guys.
Now a suggestion…One thing that kills alot of racing titles is…not being able to mod the game…a modable game stays alive for YEARS…IE the simbin titles and rF.
GTR2 should have been dead LONG ago but because its modable its still alive and well today and making simbin money still.
To be able to add tracks and update the truck models for the end user to stay current would be the best…so consider this please and, do not lock this awesome game up so we cant mod it.
It is after all Gmotor based and …that is what makes Gmotor games SO great!…the ability for the end user to mod them
You fellas have a very unique product on your hands and a good niche as, these seem VERY popular…i think you will find alot of people will want to mod this game and keep it alive for along time…hell i already do lol. A modable title will make you money for YEARS to come and, this game deserves that IMO.
Again gentlemen, FANTASTIC job you are doing here…you have one devoted fan in me for sure. Thank you for the GREAT service as well
Welcome Droid its nice to see that not all americans are running around in left turn circles
Sorry but I’m not agree.
GSC and FT are good as so, GSC simulate the V8 and Mini champ and FT the formula truck champ. All is already good, physic and grafic, If some files are hidden REIZA have sure good reasons.
If sometimes I want to go online, I don’t have to download the last mod and the last track and I don’t waste my time to choose the better MODs amongs hundreds.
I don’t write anymore so much in the GSC forum only because I know all about it, but I play it almost every night, if a game is good it will survive on HDs for many years.
It has been the first time I bought a game in preorder because I knew GSC, and I don’t regreet at all, indeed.
For playing a differente car and a different track every day, there are already others games, going on in this way REIZA and I’ll buy next game
My first post and it’s probably going to come across a little negative but…
Not sure I can get in to trucks, the cornering speed is so slow it feels a bit frustrating. I perhaps need to give it more time but I’m really struggling to get ‘excited’ about playing the game.
The corner speeds are slow, but when you are off the gas and understeering and it looks like you are going to plow right off the track is when it’s time to gas it up and drift the back end; do it right and suddenly you are sideways and actually accelerating through the turn…just don’t overdo it or you will be facing the wrong way, lol….
Thanks Jhon yes…LOL i am not a Nascar fan at all YEESH!
And Oppolo…your entitled to your opinion…but…well its just a fact that modable games live longer…nothing against this game…I am in love with it…GREAT work REIZA..i am totally satisfied.
I do hope we will get real sponsers on the track billboards though..that would be fantastic
the trucks all seem to have the correct sponsers as far as i see.
I am still learning about these racing trucks… hugely interesting as i do drive big trucks at work all the time as a CDL driver.
Now i am a huge fan of these..THANK YOU REIZA
probably your truck is in continuos understeering, try to find the trick in your right foot
For GSC there are a lots of tracks but not REIZA approved because it loose a part of good feeling of driving, so I don’t use them, and also because for me is enought what in GSC is, so if there are for GSC maybe you have to wait a little time and then you will have.
for track billboards, yes, there should be real ones in the full version
Or atleast modded content like in F1 201X.
