GTL Racing Club This Week / 12

This week we bring you the Renault 8 Gordini TS. The 8 was launched in 1962, and  looks very similar to the Alfa Romeo front-wheel drive prototype tipo 103 and was with disc brakes, a first for a saloon/sedan car of this size. We have a new circuit to drive this fun car Autódromo Internacional “Pancho Pepe Croquer” de Turagua. A 2.8 km road course that was so nearly a league track last season (we’ve checked the clearance of the Renault – no flips this time). Then for race 2 we go back to an old favourite Hockenheim Short.

On Thursday we slow it down again after the fast and furious league race and Capri fun from the previous week. And what better than a Mini Cooper S race at Mondello followed by a quick change to the Abarth 1000tcr. The 2 different cars should bring excitement and change with the different handling characteristics of these little rockets.

The GT Legends club – come and see what all the fuss is about.

  1. Hans Sneep says:

Nice square box of a car with rear engine gone be Fun !!

  2. One of these takes part in classic races at knockhill regularly. I’ll try and dig out a pic of it! Not the quickest car, but adds some variety to the grid.
