RaceRoom Racing Experience: McLaren License
SimBin Studios today announced that they have reached an agreement with Woking based manufacturer McLaren Automotive. RRRE will feature their current GT class vehicle, the McLaren MP4-12C GT3, and some more, yet unannounced, vehicles but SimBin said that they rather announce the vehicles one by one. They decided to start off with a car that has become an integral part of current GT championships around the world.
The McLaren MP4-12C GT3 has taken part in many races and series across the globe since its release in 2010. It has entered the VLN, ADAC GT, and Blancpain Championship just to name a few. With its 3,8Litre, twin turbo V8, it is capable of nearly 500BHP. That is actually almost a 100 BHP less then the road going McLaren MP4-12C. But with the GT3 version being lighter and aerodynamically more efficient, it is a whole lot faster on the track.

RRRE is looking better and better! Can’t wait!
Nice to point out that the ‘race’ version has 100 HP less than the street version. A testimony to the fact that horse power is nothing without a good balance between geometry setup, tire compounds (although the same for everybody), electronics and aerodynamics… and a good driver off course
Wonder if this will be a purchasable DLC car?
Whilst I appreciate RRRE is a ‘free to play’ offering, I’m sure all of their content is not going to be free, lol.

Who knows but yeah, some cars might not be free – SimBin need to make money, too.
Isn’t that just because of regulations!? Corvette recently aired some commercials where they state they took out more than 100 hp from the street version (ZR1) when competing with Porsche and Ferrari in GT2. "Just to be fair" as they stated, but that too is just regulations.
