not too sure when this was… felipe was basically told to stop pressuring fernando, fernando increased his pace towards the end but felipe was already told that was as high as he was gonna get in that race
Felipe was only catching because Fernando was looking after his tyres for a big push at the end.
Although I do think if Ferrari had released Massa at the point to pressurise Webber, Webber would have had to use his tyre’s to greater affect and Alonso may have go 2nd with a switch to Massa at the end.
Yeah it was fairly clear that Alonso was minding his tyres, didn’t matter in the end. RB were in their own class.
