rFactor 2: Renault Clio Now Available!
After quite some time (and fans begging for it) the Renault Clio for rFactor 2 has finally been officially released! The car has been leaked some time ago but now it’s gone official but now that it’s gone official doesn’t mean there won’t be any trouble.
The known issues, for now, are as follows:
- Those of you who installed the accidentally leaked earlier version, will end up with duplicate Clio components, and may need to completely re-install [the game] to be rid of them.
- Opacity issues on the headlights until the next software update is released (which will update the Clio pace car and fix it).
But let’s face it, yet another (released) car to play around with in rFactor2 is well worth spending a few minutes on installing the game from scratch! Downloads are currently only available through torrent but should become available on fansites within the hour.
- Torrent
- Race2Play.com (not listed as of 8:50pm GMT but listed as official mirror)
- SimSync.de (not listed as of 8:50pm GMT but listed as official mirror)

Ooh nice
But is rFactor 2 really ready to host leagues? I haven’t touched rF2 in months because of the issues. And I know it’s a beta but I would have still expected it to be a bit more fit for purpose
It’s quite fit for normal use (despite it’s beta status), actually.
We’re hosting a 100 lap endurance race soon – http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/rdwes-100-laps-of-mid-ohio-intro-info.53131/#post-1192614.
Oh man, if i was physicaly up to it, it would have been great to do something like that.
Damn i cant wait to get the op im waiting for!
rfactor2 is definately ready for leagues. There are some issues around, but mostly those are avoidable. Lights do not work optimal at the moment, so do not do a night race.
When you keep it to regular formats, a lot is possible already. And in terms of stability, it’s really good actually. We have had very little to non issues with the clubraces so far.
Clio’s are HUGE fun and I dont even normally like FWD cars :O hehehehehe
