Project CARS: Slightly Mad Studios Welcomes BMW!
A few hours ago, Slightly Mad Studios announced that they obtained yet another license. 10 iconic cars of one of the most, if not the most, famous German car manufacturers are about to be added in one of the next alpha updates: BMW.
Over the course of the years BMW produced lots and lots of remarkably popular road cars and, of course, extremely successful race cars as well. The list, taken from the official Project Cars website, might receive further additions in the near future but the cars being integrated soon are as follows:
- 1940 328 Touring Coupe
- 1978 320 Turbo Group 5
- 1981 BMW M1 Procar
- 1991 BMW M3 Group A Touring Car
- 1999 V12 LMR
- 2008 F1.08
- 2012 1M Coupe
- 2012 BTCC 3-series
- 2012 Z4 GT3
- 2012 BMW M3 E92 GT
Most cars are icons of their time & race class but it was really surprising to see the 328 Touring Coupe showing up on the list. It’s not exactly the car most people will drive, so it’s even more admirable to see licenses for exotic cars being acquired for Project CARS. Project CARS is partially community-funded and donors also have the possibility to actively vote on decisions being made by the developers, making the community part of creating a great game. Everyone can participate and play!
