Presto GP: Signup Today For Season 9

This is Presto GP, one of the fastest and most consistent openwheel sim racing series running since 2008 with eight consecutive seasons so far. Besides league races, Presto GP also offers practise servers which save all Qualifying lap times and list them at the league’s website PrestoGP.com. Here, all drivers can register and compete against each other on the different tracks.

Using Race 07′s F3000 cars in the beginning stages of the series, Presto GP later switched to the Race 07 Formula 1 Mod created by the MAK Corp Modding Group. This season the European Division will again run with the powerful F1 cars whereas the Pacific Division sees the return of the original F3000 cars.

In the last weeks league regulations have been discussed and decided in a vote which involved all league members. Now we can announce that the new season of the European Division (starting on August 29th 2012) is finally open for sign up!

Join the action and some of the best sim racers like Sean Greenlaw, Tim McIver and four-time champion Reik Major. The Series is aiming to form a 2 division league and is looking for experienced drivers as well as unexperienced drivers with a good degree of motivation.

Presto GP Philosophy

One characteristic that features Presto GP especially is the league’s unique philosophy to use as many ways as possible to support all drivers in improving their driving abilities efficiently.

All drivers share their setups openly, many upload hot lap videos on Youtube (one example: Reik Major’s channel) and give or take advice in the forum or the practise servers usually starting 2 weeks before each of the 10 league races.

Due to that extensive exchange, lap times are not an important factor to join the league. Drivers who are planning to join the league, however, are expected to practise hard for all 10 races and compete for the whole season as it is the usual way at Presto GP.

Season Preparation

Until the start of the 9th season Presto GP is organizing a number of practise races like 3 “Presto GP F1″ events in cooperation with the RD Racing Club and also internal races (sign up possible at the Presto GP forum).

Both types of events can be joined by all licensed RD drivers and are a good opportunity for drivers to get their own idea of the league and get a decision-helping support on whether or not to sign up for the league.
