ETVLive! Joins RaceDepartment
The fast growing online simracing broadcaster, ETVLive!, has begun a slow integration with Race Department in an effort to expose more race fans to the world of online auto racing. ETVLive! began it’s life back in 2008 when executive producer, John Westling, then owner of Elite Sim Racing League went in search of a broadcaster to produce his live racing events. Experiencing a turbulent relationship with the company he selected, he started broadcasting his own races.
Many years later, ETVLive! has become one of the fastest growing broadcasters in the world of online auto racing. Since the early days of 2008, ETVLive! now has a playlist of some 600 plus broadcasts in their archives, and growing every week as they continue to build relationships with racing leagues.

John and his crew have worked hard in bringing ETVLive! to the front of the line in both quality and creativity. The first to introduce and implement a fully integrated dual camera system bringing new life to online broadcasting with the ability to show two images from different locations on the track simultaneously. ETVLive! was also first in brining the viewer face to face with the largest player window at the highest quality. Archived footage is now shown in full 1280×720 HD quality at the ETVLive! website.

Working closely with executive producer, JD Webb, they have been able to reach pinnacles only dreamed of by others before. JD does all the graphic overlays and sound production, and can be heard calling races from time to time with other personalities such as long time broadcaster David Bass, Michael Keeton, Mike Conti, Devin Smrekar and others. Pit reporters like Dakota Earman, Matthew Close, Ben Kilcrease and Matt Largen add another dimension with their animated and sometimes exciting reports from behind the wall and in the garages. Recently, ETVLive! expanded it’s book of business to include other forms of racing such as USAC Sprint car and Midget racing. Dirt racing fanatic Brett Wheeler from Sydney Australia ramps it up with Tyler Burnett and Juston Rosenow on Sunday nights with dirt track racing from SimPro Racing League. Also joining the crew recently are Sean Pivek and Shaun Pechin, both expert commentators working with the road racing division. With a highly successful broadcast of a four race series with Niel Hekken’s Escors Le Mans Series in the can, ETVLive! has breached the border of oval racing in an effort to be the online auto sports entertainment network.

Current project include adding more archived broadcasts to the 24 hour channel, The After Show, and working with several other private broadcasters such as OpenPaddock.net to produce weekly live entertainment.
Pre-race activities are well planned out for each race with a production meetings prior to each broadcast. This gives the crew an opportunity to compare notes and prepare for the evenings event. Every broadcast is fan-interactive with the custom designed live-pages that include a chatroom where frequently, the broadcast crew will mix it up with the fans, and live race stats from telemetry directly from the track. Pre-race entertainment is sponsored by HD Radio Network, and all the sponsor promotions and commercials are produced in-house by the crew.
ETVLive! is proud to be integrating with Race Department in an effort to bring more online auto sports entertainment to viewers around the world. See the ETVLive! forum here or visit the ETVLive! website at www.etv-eplay.net.
