Codemasters Unravel More Screenshots of F1 2012 The Game
This week has seen a flood of images from the guys at Codemasters but the best is yet to come if this last group is anything to go by. Having still only seen the Circuit of America, there is only so much that the fans can look for. But from all of the screenshots released we can see that the attention to detail has really taken a huge step forward.
The latest set features an extremely detailed shot of Vitaly Petrov’s Caterham with the sun reflecting off the rear wing. The detail to lighting this year really has seemed to be taken to the next level a long with tyre detail. There are a few screens where you can see flat spots on tyres, and in the official laps driven around the circuit of America by Codemasters employee Stephen Hood you can see when he locks the breaks which will add a vast improvement to the game.
Whilst the lighting seems to have been vastly improved it has stirred some concern within the PC racers. With last years title having major complaints with the motion blur, is improving this side of the graphics going to make it worse? Racers complained on the forums of violent FPS losses and with no real way to turn the motion blur off it left racers struggling to run on good settings if they owned a budget PC.
With a few months left until the release date a lot can be changed and improved on but it is important that Codemasters listen to their community! The question is, will it speed to first place in the Console racing genre or be left with some reliability issues in the pit lane?
