Three Game Stock Car Championships Announced
It’s with great pleasure that we can announce three professional Game Stock Car championships returning to RaceDepartment in the summer of 2012. All series will be broadcasted live on the internet to a huge audience and of course our professional commentators will guarantee a great show.
Two series have proven themselves to be very popular during the last 2011/12 season and of course return with a second follow up season. A third championship was a long running series in the past and will now re-vamped make it’s comeback in Game Stock Car.
To start with the latter. The RD Mini Cooper Challenge was an iconic league that ran for multiple seasons in RACE 07 and GTR Evolution between 2006 and 2009. Large fields of drivers raced on various European venues such as Monza, Oschersleben, Nürburgring and the legendary Nordschleife. Just like the real life series have expanded to South America we will follow the same route with our virtual championship and race on four domestic Brazilian tracks. The MINI John Cooper Works Challenge racecars will visit Interlagos, Curitiba, Velopark and end the championship at Londrina.
The season starts in August 2012 and will race on Friday nights.

The RD Open Wheel Championship will kick off in July 2012 and race on Saturday night. The second season will feature updated Formula 3 cars that will be released this month by Reiza Studios. Slightly different physics, new car skins but the same close racing is guaranteed which made the first season to a big success. Sign ups have been open for a few weeks now and we are almost fully booked so if you are looking for a space in a competitive league you need to hurry up.

The RD Stock Car Championship. The flagship league for Game Stock Car. The brutal V8′s roared already last year and with the new 2012 models on the horizon this Sunday league will be a magnet to both European as South American drivers that wish to compete on the highest level of virtual touring car racing.

The game can be purchased from the GSC webiste and you can also choose a 30 minute demo first, although its way too short to test everything properly

By the time i dialed in all my settings properly the 30 minutes was almost over.
So i bought it after reading so much good things about it.
Also to support the company for future development.
It’s a really nice sim, the cars feel very good.
Much better as i expected from the old rFactor engine.
Only online there is not much activity.
Hopefully this changes for the better now RD gives it so much attention.
