F1 2012 The Game: Four New Screenshots

One hour ago Codemasters published 4 new and shiny screenshots of their upcoming Formula 1 game, F1 2012. They are, however, looking like an army of platypus cars against a lonely McLaren, who’s not yet part of the family. Tell us what you think about them!

For more F1 2012 The Game visit our already popular F1 2012 The Game forum with the latest discussions and soon the place for modding resources, custom club and league races, setups and more.

You get in habit with platypus with time…

  2. Paul Lock says:

But why? They have already released screen shots and also gameplay videos, whats the point of throwing 4 more screenshots at us??
Anyone can make a picture look good – tell us the features you are putting in the game and how you will be assuring that the release is not full of game-breaker bugs like the last 2.

  3. Bram Hengeveld says:

It looks okay. I like the tiresmoke in the first picture when the innertire locks up.

However it still looks like the front tirres of all the cars are floating in the air compared to the rear. Not sure if this was also happening with last years game but seems a bit odd in the recent screenshots.

Mclaren still have that old nose give me a new one

  5. Rotax says:

Compared to rFactor with Rotax ToxicENB Mod it looks like sh**.

    The colors look incredible worse.

F1 2012 – The New F1 2011 Mod but with flying cars! buy now and complain later.

  7. Diego Lopez says:

    FAIL!

Rear wing of the Ferrari needs to be updated and so the front wing and “side pod” mini wings and mirrors.

McLaren needs a new front wing and new post spanish GP font wing.

the Lotus needs a few more winglets in the front.

come on 3D modeling isnt that hard since I do it myself while attending school for projects, you guys get PAID to do this, what a shame really.

  8. Diego Lopez says:

Also take off the Coca Cola bottle rear of that Ferrari and add the little black mini wing that is on the post Bahrain update…

holy crap if its true as admins claim that Codemasters actually READ this forums or website, then they should take a critical look at how much of F1 fanatics we are, they really need to watch the races once in a while, remodeling isnt hard since is not 1 person working on it…. :???:

  9. Diego Lopez says:

Also I dont mean to spam but it just popped….

CAN WE HAVE please….a choice of front/rear wings designs for Hi downfoce/ Low downforce tracks….I would be a shame of we didnt have the options of switching them and tweaking in game…really…if the only big add are the tracks and brake bias then this is just a DLC tbh.

I mean why would I run wings that I would use in a Monaco race in a race such as in Monza….come on…even if we dont feel the performance just do it for the “realisim” approach the test drivers apparently said during the Abu Dahbi testing phase…or did they lie about “realism” when you interviewed them…

please dont make me go get rFactor since is just “OR” to the max .

I want better handeling. I like f1 2010 over 2011 to be honested

  11. John Robertson says:

Hey diego codemasters always models the cars to pre season spec.

  12. Corrado Conti says:

Platypus? I always thought that it was as mundane as the lift gate fell on one of the cars and the rest of them just figured it was some advantage and copied it.

  13. Steven Mosley Jr. says:

Graphics don’t impress me. Codemasters always has delivered high quality carshapes and liveries. That never was the concern. What I care about and what impresses me is physics, and based on the footage I seen of the Houston track, it looks like F1 2011 with 2012 cars and tracks.

I definitely do plan on passing on this one. Hopefully F1 opens their eyes and doesn’t sign another contract with Codemasters. The people want a F1 simulation, Codemasters only has an interest is developing racing games. There’s a big difference in the two.

  14. Diego Lopez says:

its 1 pictures, u cant judge physics off of 1 pictures….now a video perhaps, yes.

so your judgement here is invalid and il be glad not to see u online anyways.

and when we have real physics cars, everyone moans that is 2 hard to drive and stop playing it….

    lol @ u.

  15. Diego Lopez says:

1 want simulation, plenty of “sims” our there for u with F1 mods. IM happy with codies, but i prefer Liverpool Studios.
