RD Batracer Indycar Series Now Open

Yes, RaceDepartment takes on Batracer. We’re looking for members that also have fun on batracer in their spare time to unite for a season.

Some people may know Batracer, for those who don’t, a quick summary. It is a browser based manager game, only that you’re more a driver than usual. The game has different modes, or carsets, for their members. These range open wheelers (F1, Indycar), touring cars (BTCC, V8′s) and many others. The game is also marred in controversy, when Ferrari threatened to sue the creator for using their name without consent, leading to many online games have had to change to avoid legal problems. But the game is always up-to-date, and consistently improving small things.

But enough about that, back to our league. One of the games is an Indycar replica, which we will be using for our league. We need at least 12 people, RD members preferred, and joining is quick, and most importantly, free. If anyone is interested, swing on by the Batracer forum thread, put in your name, and we’ll get it started.

To follow up on this, the first RaceDepartment Batracer series is now open for sign-ups.

Using the 2008 Indycar carset, the season will no doubt be boasting close racing and a tight championship. Sign-ups are open for all members of RaceDepartment who play Batracer, and for those members who don’t, it’s very easy to. Just visit the Batracer web page, starting up and playing is free.

For anyone interested, RD members get first choice on cars, just put your name into the Batracer forum, preferably with a link to your Batracer profile, and you’ll be PM-ed in game.
