iRacing Secures Bathurst License
Hot from the press comes the news that iRacing’s Tony Gardner announced that the legendary Mount Panorama Bathurst circuit is coming to the simulation. On the forums he left the following comment:
Working on our press release but know lot of people really want this track so thought would let folks know we finally secured the license for it officially yesterday. I assume it will release next year but hopefully will get it scanned this year. Again tracks coming next are Langley in June, Zolder around August, Oran Park Sept or October.
Took us a long while to get the Bathurst license but Steve Myers stayed after it.
We will live update this article once more information is available. Time for a V8 Supercar League or a one time Bathurst 1000 in the RD iRacing Road Series next year you’d think?

Finally some real big news. Very cool.
With the new improved physics of the V8 car this will be a joy to race
I can’t wait
I hate Bathurst circuit. I always struggle when I race on simulator
Can you do driver swaps in iRacing?
No, not yet
ooooo this is good news
had to do something to stop them all heading back to RF2…. still no Holden….where is the rest of the v8 supercars tracks…or are they coming all this way just for 1… OMG IMHO waste of time without doing others..
Wow! Fantastic news for those playing iRacing. If iRacing can get a Holden licence, the experience at Bathurst would be incredible (if it isn’t already with just the Ford).
It’s an epic track, but so much corners and so narrow.
Only way to overtake is with some contact (the ausie way) or mistakes.
Contact racing is prohibited in iRacing… so you just have to wait for the mistake of the car in front of you.
Richard.. clearly you have never watched a real Bathurst race??!!! This is an amazing circuit with amazing overtaking opportunities..

Great track and iRacing will make a great digital track out of it.
Too bad their car physics are flat as dead man’s heart beat.
