rFactor 2 Mod Preview – F1 2012 by F1Ligue
The sim racing community seems hard at work in bringing their very best to what is at the very core of the rFactor experience, modding. This certainly seems the case for the team over at F1ligue in the development of their F1 2012 mod for rFactor 2. Despite the majority of car launches only taking place in the past couple of weeks, the French team have already released early versions of their work in progress models of the cars to be featured in the 2012 season of the FIA Formula One World Championship. This preview comes not long after the modding group posted up a video featuring a beta version of the 2011 Red Bull RB7 in rFactor 2.
This particular update features the 2012 versions of the Caterham, McLaren Mercedes, Force India, Ferrari, and Lotus Renault.
More information on the F1ligue mod can be found at their official website here or at the ISI forums. However, the F1ligue website is in French with no other language options available.

Yum-Yum
The cars look too “cartoonish” in my opinion.
“early versions of their work in progress models of the cars”
Someone reads what I write!!!!! You have made my day Mr. Woodward
I think taht is mostly because the lighting and shading.
Reflections are missing thats the point!!!
I don’t care if they’re fast – the duck bill is ugly. As a McLaren fan I will at least be looking at a pretty (hopefully fast) car.
Nice. They have been doing overtime in creating those models at F1 Ligue, very fast!
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee well this will make me buy the beta immeately
Looks odd, a bit rushed. I suppose they want to be the first to release F1 2012 stuff.
If they release previews, regardles of Work In Progress status, I think they deserve to be judged. If they don’t want to be criticised, then they shouldn’t release anything.
Oh absolutely. If your familiar with WIP work then yeah.. we should always generate good discussion. Feel free to let it out!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s impressive what they’ve got done in the period of time that they have, but why would anyone restrict themselves to such a small window to release previews?
I asked myself the same thing but it seems like they are looking to be the “first” in the category so their name starts to rise above the rest. Will that work in long term? Absolutely not but I could see the reasoning behind it… if it works

Absolutely terrible… a broken nose on a F1?? ..the guys have run out of ideas (just like Hollywood) look at the Mercs, much better without a radical waak across its nose. Back to the drawing board.. theres absolutely no way I’d drive that thing… can’t even imagine what the wind will look like. Rather try the comics drafts for inspiration.. .
